Amanda Bruder, CVT

Amanda has been working in veterinary medicine since 2002. She graduated from Argosy University and has been a CVT since 2006. She shares her home with her husband, two daughters, and a variety of pets, including 4 dogs, 2 cats, an Amazon parrot, a tortoise, and a one-eyed pony. One of her dogs, Cedar, is a certified therapy dog. Together, he and Amanda enjoy visiting those in hospice care as well as visiting schools to read with young children. Other hobbies she enjoys include camping, competitive bird dog hunting, reading, and scrapbooking.

Betheny Seubert, CVT

Betheny was born in Colorado but grew up in Central Wisconsin. She graduated from MATC in 2009 with an AAS- Veterinary Technology and also passed the VTNE in the same year.  She and her husband, Keith, have two wonderful young boys. They also have two cats at home named Boccio and Rollie. She enjoys spending time with her family, photography, reading, and being outdoors.

Mariah Shultz, CVT

Mariah has grown up in the Stevens Point area, graduated from UW Stevens Point with a Bachelors degree in Psychology in 2016. She is a recent graduate from Broadview University with an Associates degree in Applied Veterinary Technology. In her free time Mariah likes traveling, spending time outdoors, fishing, kayaking and spending time with her two dogs, Olive and Stella and two cats, Sheldon and Scooter.

Trevor West, CVT

Trevor was born and raised in central Wisconsin. He began his career in veterinary medicine as an assistant at a local animal clinic in early 2000 while attending UWSP. After 4 years of working as a veterinary assistant, he decided to take the veterinary technician national exam, and in 2004 he earned certification as a veterinary technician.

Kelsea Schuster

Kelsea grew up in Wausau and has always had a passion for animals, she spent many years working with horses through 4H and still enjoys trail riding when she has the free time. She previously worked as a kennel assistant at a dog boarding facility where she loved taking care of people’s furry friends. When she is not working here at PAW, she enjoys anything and everything outdoors and spending time with friends and family.

Rachel Ducat

Rachel was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In July 2018 she took a leap of faith and moved to Wisconsin to work for PAW Health Network and hasn’t looked back since. She graduated from Ferris State University with her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Systems Administration.  Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, fishing and spoiling her dog, Bella.

Grant Grabow

Grant started working for PAW in January 2019 as one of our Caregiver Support Staff members and quickly took on an additional role as our Design Consultant. He is currently studying Graphic Design at UW Stevens Point and is very passionate about the work he creates. He is originally from the Wausau area but also lived in Eau Claire from 2010-2016. He also lived in Germany for the end of 2016 and returned to Wisconsin in 2017. Some of Grants favorite hobbies are swimming, hiking, reading, cooking and traveling.

Ben Glascock

Ben was born and raised in the Greater Wausau Area where he and his wife have now started a family of their own with their son and dog, Holly. He enjoys spending time with family, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, bowls competitively, plays Dungeons and Dragons and when the weather permits go for a ride on his motorcycle. He graduated from UW Stevens Point with a B.S. Marketing and Business Management Degree in 2014. For the past 3 years Ben worked with PAW on various projects thru his previous employment and in March 2019 he decided to join PAW to support our vision with patient care. He is part of our Caregiver Support Staff as well as our Marketing and Media Coordinator.

Sarai was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. She came to central Wisconsin to peruse her dream of helping animals. She graduated from Broadview University in June 2017 and has been with the PAW Health team since. She enjoys spending free time with her friends, family, and two dogs, Chase and Rey.

Megan Nelson, CVT

Megan grew up in central Wisconsin. She went to UW Eau Claire and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Communication/Journalism. She then moved to Madison and went back to school at MATC for her Associates degree in Veterinary Technology. She graduated in 2010 and then passed her boards that summer. Megan then moved back to central Wisconsin to work as a CVT. She and her husband, Chris, have 3 children: Parker, Brayden, and Eisley. They also have 4 fur babies: a beagle named Gunnar, and cats Stella, Sydney, and Brewer. In her free time, Megan enjoys playing hockey and spending time with her family.

Kayla Davis, MSS

Kayla was born and raised in Spring Grove, Illinois. She has lived in the midwest her whole life. In 2014 she moved to Wisconsin where she attended Globe University for the veterinarian technician program. She then transferred to the Penn Foster online program to finish up her degree. She started working in this field at the Humane Society of Portage County. When she is not working she is out in the barn with her two horses or spending time with her 3 dogs. She also has 2 cats and a cockatoo. Additional hobbies include shooting bow, fishing, and competing in horse shows.

Amy Berens, CVT

Amy was born and raised in Stevens Point, WI. She graduated from Madison College in 2014 and has been a CVT ever since. She has been working with animals for the past 10 years between pet sitting and working at a pet resort. She began her employment with PAW as a CVT in November 2018 and we are so glad to have her on our team. She has a cat named Riley McGonagall and her dog, Bailey who is a retired research Beagle. In her free time, she loves to hang out with her family, pets and friends, she plays hockey, water skies and enjoys kayaking.

Heather Halfmann, DVM

Heather grew up in the small town of Darboy, just outside of Appleton. She graduated from UW Madison in1997 and practiced in small animal medicine for the last 20 years in Green Bay. The last 10 of those years she has been filling in at PAW when needed. Recently, she has decided to join the PAW Health team full-time. Rounding out her family is her son Bryce and her dog Toots.

Janessa Thompson, DVM

Dr. Janessa graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine 2015. She has interests in internal medicine and reproduction. She lives in Weston with her 3 dogs (Jade, Paisley, and Aspen) and one cat (Rupert). In her free time, she competes with her dogs in various venues and knits.

Dane Jespersen, DVM

Dr. Dane graduated from UW Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. After practicing in Las Vegas, he returned to central Wisconsin. He has been practicing in Wisconsin since 2003.


Jenny Knutson

Jenny grew up in the Stevens Point/Plover area.  With over an 15-year career in the construction industry, she decided to step away and pursue her animal passion, joining the PAW team in 2017.  She has completed a local training program for Canine Training Instructor and training in Canine Behavior Consulting.  Jenny has been a long time local shelter volunteer and serves on the Board of Directors.  She currently shares her home with her husband Brian, their two dogs Shugar and Bristol, and many fish.  On her free time, she dabbles in a wide range of activities and skills.  Most of all she enjoys hiking, biking, gardening, traveling, training her dogs, volunteering and reading.

Carlo A. Riolo, DVM

Carlo A. Riolo, DVM, earned his veterinary degree through Michigan State University and has worked in after-hours/emergency medicine since 2006. Along with the team at PAW Health, Dr. Riolo is actively redefining the veterinary industry through creative destruction of traditional policies, active strategic planning, engaged talent development, establishing a work environment built on mental health and wellness, providing all staff livable wages and benefits, and mentorship opportunities for students and graduates. Dr. Riolo believes that a healthy team functioning within a healthy cultural environment can usher in the future of the veterinary profession.

Katie Niksich, DVM MPH

Dr. Katie grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and was very active in 4-H.  She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and a Master’s of Public Health from the University of Minnesota.   She graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 and has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Wausau-area since 2008.  She enjoys spending time with her family and tending to their hobby farm in her free time.

Annie Falkowski, CVT

Annie started with PAW in August of 2016. Annie graduated from Madison Area College in 2010 with an AAS - Veterinary Technology and passed the VTNE that same year. Annie also received her degree in Business Management through NTC in 2015. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, fishing, golfing and walking through the woods. They share their home with two cats, Brewer and Patron.
